Institute of Art History, Estonian Academy of Arts
Open Lecture Series Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Institute of
Art History
Spring 2013
Founded in 1992, Institute of Art History of Estonian Academy of Arts is
the leading centre for the study and research of Art History in Estonia.
Graduates of the Institute have played and important role in Estonian
art life as curators, critics and researchers and actively contributed
to regional dialogue in art. To broaden the professional and public
discussions and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its establishment,
Institute of Art History brings to Tallinn leading scholars in Art
History and neighbouring fields who represent various interests of the
Institute, such as historiography of art history, history of 20th
century architecture, feminist art history, studies of late Soviet art
and culture, and semiotics of art.
All lectures take place in the Academy of Sciences Hall in Toompea,
Kohtu 6, Tallinn, at 17.00. Lectures are free and open to the public.
