Theme: Narrative, the different possibilities of constructing it.
Lecturer: ANDREA COYOTZI BORJA

Narrative is the element that allows you to construct a message, generally speaking. Constructing a narrative is a game, you have some pieces, certain rules, and then you play with them, you mix them together, you give hierarchy if you want and then polish them to reach a result.

We will discuss the basic elements of Narrative: Space, time, sound, image control and install / set up. From this point we will try to see how each element affects the narrative, and what does it bring to it, so we can define in a general way what narrative in video is and how may it work in our favour to construct meaning.

ANDREA COYOTZI BORJA has a BA in Fine Arts (University of the Americas, Puebla México) and studies in Video-Cinema and TV in Barcelona, Spain. She works mainly with video and sound, but has projects related with the everyday of the art production.

The workshop will be held in English language
