The Swiss Cooperation Office in the Republic of Moldova is pleased to
announce that the Government of Switzerland, through the Federal
Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students, is providing prospective
researchers from the Republic of Moldova with the following types of
scholarships for the academic year 2013-2014:

Scientific Research Scholarships — for 12 months with no extension.
PhD Scholarships – maximum 3 years. (The scholarships for each of the
three years will not be automatically extended. Every request for
extension, as well as the applicants’ academic performance, will be
thoroughly examined by the Federal Commission for Scholarships.)

Postdoctoral Scholarships – 12 months, with the possibility of being
extended for 6 months, following the decision of the Federal Commission
for Scholarships.

For 2013-2014, the Government of Switzerland will not provide Master
Degree Scholarships for the Republic of Moldova.

A high level of one of the foreign language mastery — French, German,
Italian or English is a prerequisite, depending on the selected university
and its requirements.

The Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova is authorized to pre-select and to
interview the candidates.

Candidates are welcome to contact us at chisinau at sdc.net in order to
obtain the application forms and the electronic guide for the application
process. To facilitate the information procedure, please, indicate in your
message the preferred language for studies.

The timescale for submitting applications is September 9 – November 29,
2012, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 14.00 and 17.30 hours,
at the Swiss Cooperation Office, 23 A. Mateevici Street, Block B,
Chisinau.

The deadline for submitting applications is November 29, 2012.
