Privatizimi i institucioneve dhe infrastruktur?s shpesh nuk p?rmban edhe
ndryshimet e dukshme n? hap?sir?n e nd?rtuar q? ?sht? subjekt i
privatizimit. Shum? shpesh, transformimi i pron?s nuk p?fshin? edhe
shfaqjen e guzimshme t? mbishkrmeve t? korporatave q? e kan? privatizuar
pron?n. Jo ?do her? gjith?ka ?sht? shum? e qart? p?r at? kush ?sht? tani n?
krye, sidomos pas ngritjes s? vazhdueshme t? tendencav? t? p?rfshirjes s?
fondeve t? dyshimta t? konglomerateve multi-nacionale dhe skemave t?
invstimeve private me hipotekim. Si i till?, prizatizimi jo
domosdoshm?risht rexhistrohet n? domenin e t? dukshm?s. Por prap se prap,
kur korporatat private p?rvet?sojn? hap?sirat, dikur publike, p?rvoja e
p?rditshme ndikohet; hap?sira ridistribuohet, operimi n? to ndryshon,
rrug?t ndrrojne kahje, qasja rrefozohet.
Liquidation hulumton se si hap?sira e privatizuar, jo gjithnj? e dukshme,
mund t? behet e kuptueshme n?p?rmes praktikave artistike, sociale dhe
politike. Me q?lllim t? ekzaminimit se si natyra virtuale dhe e papare e
kapitalit mund t? vet?-huazohet n? figurativitetin artistik, veprat pjes?
t? ekspozit?s do t? rikonfigurojn? virtualen n? raport me konkreten dhe
vendosin p?rball? t? padukshmen me t? kuptueshm?n. N? t? b?rit t? k?saj,
Liquidation ngrit? ceshtjen e r?nd?sis? s? praktikave artistike n?
shoq?rin? bashk?kohore.
Liquidation ?sht? i konceptuar nga Sarah Lookofksy p?r Stacion - Qendra p?r
Art Bashk?kohor Prishtin?, dhe ?sht? realizuar n? bashk?punim me Stacion -

Kraljevic Gallery (G-MK), Zagreb. Instituti p?r Hulumtime Zhvillimore

The privatization of institutions and infrastructure does not always entail
noticeable changes to the built environment. Frequently, private takeover
does not result in bold displays of corporate logos. Given the rise of
shadow financing by multinational conglomerates and private equity
investment schemes, it is indeed typically unclear who is in charge. As
such, privatization is not necessarily registered within the domain of the
visible. Yet, when private corporations appropriate previously socially and
publicly owned institutions and spaces, everyday experience is affected:
resources are redistributed, operations are changed, passage is rerouted,
access is denied.
Liquidation interrogates how privatization, although not always visible,
can nevertheless be made intelligible through artistic, social and
political practices. Artworks in the exhibition will address shifts in the
everyday as a result of privatization, whether drastically experienced or
barely registered. By taking as its starting point the ?forms? of
contemporary capitalism, the exhibition will propose an alternate approach
to signification and representation. With the aim of examining how the
virtual and unseen nature of capital can lend itself to artistic
figuration, works in the exhibition illustrate examples of countering the
invisible with the intelligible. In so doing, Liquidation presses the
question of the contemporary social relevance of artistic practice.
Liquidation is a project by Sarah Lookofsky produced for Stacion ? Center
