PROPRIA CAMERĂ

 Proiectul fotografic al Yevgheniei Belorusets dedicat vieţii de zi cu zi a
familiilor LGBT (lesbiană, gay, bisexual, transgender) din Ukraina, care se
ciocnesc cu opresiune şi ameninţări cu violenţă din cauza orientării
sexuale sau identităţii de gen.

"Propria Cameră" reprezintă o serie de portrete fotografice documentare şi
mărturii ale eroilor şi eroinelor, colectate de fotografă în timpul
călătoriilor prin localităţile ukraineşti. Prin limbaj al schiţelor
fragmentare ale vieţii de zi cu zi, plăcerilor şi tristeţilor cotidiene,
Yevghenia Belorusets împreună cu eroii şi eroinele proiectului său
povestesc istoriile vieţii lor, permiţând privirea peste perdeaua deasă,
care le desparte viaţa personală de cea publică.

Deschiderea expoziţiei: 14 mai, 18:00
Expoziţia de fotografie "Propria cameră" poate fi vizitată la Muzeul
Zemstvei, din 15 până la 19 mai. Orele: 14:00-19:00. Intrarea liberă.

СВОЯ КОМНАТА

Фотопроект Евгении Белорусец, посвященный повседневности украинских
ЛГБТ-семей, ежедневно переживающих притеснения и угрозы насилия из-за своей
сексуальной ориентации или гендерной идентичности.

«Своя комната» - серия документальных фотопортретов и свидетельств героинь
и героев, собранных художницей во время путешествия по городам Украины.
Языком фрагментарных зарисовок быта, обыденных радостей и печалей, Евгения
Белорусец и герои ее проекта рассказывают истории своей жизни, позволяя на
мгновение заглянуть за плотную завесу, отделяющую их личную жизнь от
публичной.

Открытие выставки: 14 мая, 18:00
Фотовыставка «Своя комната» доступна для просмотра с 15 по 19 мая в Музее
земства. Время работы: 14.00-19.00. Вход свободный.

A ROOM OF MY OWN

Photographs by Yevgenia Belorusets dedicated to the everyday lives of LGBT
families in Ukraine, who face oppression and threats with violence due to
their sexual orientation or gender identity.

“A Room of My Own” consists of a series of documentary photographic
portraits and testimonies of the stars of this project, who the artist met
during trips to various cities across Ukraine. Through fragmented sketches
of domestic life, with all its joys and pains, Yevgenia Belorusets and the
heroes and heroines of her project tell their personal stories, affording
us a brief glimpse of what lies behind the thick curtain which ordinarily
separates their private lives from their public identities.

Photo exhibition ‘A Room of My Own’ can be visited from 15 to 19 May at
Museum Zemstvei. Working hours: 2-7 p.m. Free admission.
