Master of Management in International Arts Management 2016-2017

The Master of Management in International Arts Management programme offers
international training that draws on the expertise of three of the world's
top-ranked universities in the area of cultural management - the Southern
Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, USA; HEC Montreal, Canada; and SDA
Bocconi, Milan, Italy. The primary goal of the programme is to prepare and
train a new generation of managers within the performing arts, heritage
sector (museums or historic sites) and cultural industries (film,
publishing, sound recording, radio and television). The structure of the
Master of Management in International Arts Management programme consists
of 45 credits that are divided among the three institutions in three
countries for 12 months, full time (4 months at each campus).

Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, USA: 15 credits (5 courses,
3 credits each). Theme: Management of Non-profit Arts Organizations and
Private-Sector Funding. Courses include Comparative International Cultural
Policy, Cultural Economics and the International Art Market, Fundraising
in the Arts, Non-profit Arts Budgeting and Financial Management.

HEC Montreal, Canada: 15 credits (10 courses, 1.5 credits each). Theme:
Marketing. Courses include Accounting Management in Cultural
Organizations, Marketing and Consumer Culture, Arts Marketing, Leadership
in the Context of Cultural Organizations, Information Technologies for
Arts and Culture, New Forms of Innovation, International Marketing of the
Cultural Industries, Managing Cultural Products and Brands, Promotion and
Advertising, Research Methods in Marketing for Arts and Culture.

SDA Bocconi, Milan, Italy: 15 credits (4 courses, 1 to 5 credits each, and
a final project worth 6 credits). Theme: Cultural Industries - final
project supervision. Courses include Master's thesis, Cultural
Entrepreneurship and Governance for Nonprofit in the Arts, International
Consulting Management in the Arts, International Arts Production Systems
in Milan, Master Thesis Writing and Designing Seminar.
