Orașele: Oameni vs. Natură de Diana CULESCU [RO] – prezentare

Această prezentare urmărește să ofere o scurtă introducere cu privire la activitatea peisagistului în mediul urban. Astfel, această expunere aduce participanților câteva informații referitoare la constrângerile întâlnite în lucrul cu elemente vii care au mai degrabă un comportament imprevizibil. În plus, aceasta evidențiază și motivele pentru care, în cazul în care acest demers este abordat ca o luptă între om și vegetație, natura va ieși (aproape) întotdeauna învingătoare în oraș.

Plan de integrare urbană, Caracas (Venezuela) de Aura PELLICCIONE [IT/VE] – prezentare

Domeniul meu de cercetare investighează dinamicile sociale ale orașului Caracas. Aceste dinamici răspund nu numai condițiilor planificării centralizate ale orașului, dar inclusiv și consecințelor unei planificări urbane spontane. Un exemplu evident este modul în care zonarea orașului prin activități a forțat cetățenii să călătorească zilnic cu mașina, generînd o nouă relație om – oraș care este foarte superficială. Dinamicile care rezultă din această nouă relație degradează calitatea vieții urbane. Am decis să studiez în detalii una dintre cele mai importante axe ale orașului, Franca (Caracas, Venezuela).
Analiza diverselor dinamici urbane va contribui la formularea unor strategii speciale de ocupare care nu corespund concepției de spațiu privat, dar care integrează diverse utilizări publice.

Cities: people vs. nature by Diana CULESCU [RO] – presentation

This presentation aims to provide a short introduction regrading the landscape architects’ work within the urban environment. Thus, it is bringing for the participants some information about the constraints of working with living elements that have a rather unpredictable behaviour. Furthermore, it is emphasising the reasons why, if this demarche is tackled as a battle between man and vegetation the nature (almost) always will be victorious in the city.

Plan of urban integration, Caracas (Venezuela) by Aura PELLICCIONE [IT/VE] – presentation

I research of the social dynamics of Caracas as city, these dynamic respond not only to the morphological conditions of the city, but also of the consequences of a spontaneous urban planning. An obvious example is as zoning by activities has forced the citizen to travel by car from day to day, generating a relationship man – city very superficial. As a product of this relationship will have developed certain dynamics that in some way have favored the degradation of this relationship
I decide to focus my investigation in some of the most important axs of the city of Caracas (Venezuela) specifically given its status of road axis east-west with a vocation clearly Franca, utterly to pedestrian.
After analyzing various dynamic, posing special occupation strategies that do not respond to the conception of private space, but that integrate various public uses.

In this presentation we’ll see some projects that propose to enhance and
rethink public space with concepts and tools that come from digital
technologies.
