Dragi prieteni,

Avem plăcerea  să vă invităm la deschiderea celei de-a 9-a ediţie a ONE ARCHITECTURE WEEK, un festival internaţional de arhitectură şi urbanism.

"Acţiune! Către o practică a vecinătăţii" este manifestul ediţiei de anul acesta care se va concentra asupra mecanismelor participării publice, dar în acelaşi timp va explora şi va învăţa din experienţa locuirii colective acumulate în Trakyia - un cartier de blocuri, reprezentativ în contextul regional. Prin acţiuni concrete, ediţia 2016 îşi propune să depăşească modelul unui festival de arhitectură şi să acţioneze pe teren, dezvoltând instrumente înainte, în timpul şi după terminarea festivalului, într-o încercare de a coagula în comunitate o practică a vecininătăţii pe termen mediu şi lung.

Vă aşteptăm vineri 30 septembrie ora 18.00 în curtea blocurilor unu, doi şi trei din cartierul Trakyia, unde vom inaugura amenajarea 1-2-3, rezultat al lucrului arhitecţilor din 4 ţări diferite, împreună cu locuitorii cartierului. De la ora 19.00, vom da startul festivalului în faţa Trakyia Hall, unde începând cu ora 19.30 se va deschide expoziţia principală „Living Spaces”.

Ne-am bucura să vă avem alături la deschiderea festivalului, cât şi la numeroasele evenimente ce vor avea loc între 30 septembrie şi 9 octombrie în Trakyia, Plovdiv.

Dear friends,

We have the pleasure to invite you to the opening of the ninth edition of ONE ARCHITECTURE WEEK, an international festival for contemporary architecture and the urban environment.

"ACTION! Towards a neighbourhood practice" is the manifest of this year edition which will focus on mechanism of citizen participation, and in the same time will explore and learn from the everyday experiences of living together accumulated in Trakyia - a socialist collective housing neighborhood, representative in the region. Trough actions on the ground, the festival aims to develop tools before, during and after the festival, in an attempt to crystallize a practice of the neighborhood.

You are welcome to join us on September 30th at 18.00 in the open space between blocks one, two and three in the neighborhood of Trakyia, where we will inaugurate the intervention 1-2-3, which is the result of the work of architects from 4 different countries, together with the participation of inhabitants of the neighborhood. At 19.00, we will give the start to the festival in front of the Trakyia Hall, where starting at 19.30 we will open our main exhibition “Living Spaces”.

We will be happy if you join us for the opening of the Festival, and also at the many events that will take place between 30th of September and 9th of October in Trakyia, Plovdiv.
