După criza din 2008, se părea că dezvoltarea urbană a încetat de ceva vreme. Dar, pentru unii, parcelele goale de pământ păreau a fi folosite pentru bun folos. Șantierul naval abandonat De Ceuvel a fost unul dintre aceste locuri. În 2012, un grup multidisciplinar a luat inițiativa de a transforma acest teren gol și poluat într-un loc de muncă și de întâlnire. Dovedind că nu ai nevoie de bani pentru a dezvolta o zonă, ei au decis să utilizeze o abordare DIY (do it yourself) și să construiască birouri dintr-un produs de deșeuri olandeze foarte obișnuite: casele-bărci de gunoi rezidual. Filmul documentează realizarea unui vis printr-o colecție ciudată de urbanități vizionare și cum efectele sale secundare involuntare subliniază provocările familiare ale orașelor și comunităților din întreaga lume.

After the crisis in 2008, it seemed urban development had come to a standstill for a while. But to some people the empty plots of land seemed to beg to be put to good use. Abandoned shipyard De Ceuvel was one of these places. In 2012 a multidisciplinary group took the initiative to turn this empty and polluted piece of land into a work- and meeting place. Proving that you don’t need money to develop an area, they decided to use a DIY approach and construct offices out of a very common Dutch waste product: scrap houseboats. The film documents the realization of a dream by an odd collection of visionary urbanites and how its unintended side effects are highlighting challenges familiar to cities and communities around the world.
