>
> *Plai Gallery* invites you to the exhibition «*Gradina Urzică*» by
> Tatiana Fiodorova-Lefter – an artistic investigation into the sublime, yet
> underestimated connection between humans and nature, set against the
> background of rapid urban and technological transformation.
>
> The project emphasizes the need to rethink this relationship, one that has
> been eroded by the pressures of urbanization and digital expansion.
>
> At the heart of the research are plants and soil, viewed as non-human
> entities capable of carrying cultural and historical memory, as well as
> their own traditions. Through interaction with them, new perspectives
> emerge on how to understand both the past and the present within the
> context of political and social change.
>
> «*Gradina Urzică*» invites us to see nature not as a mere backdrop to
> human history, but as an equal participant in political and social
> imagination — a force with its own voice, memory, and rhythm.
>
> Inspired by fragments from personal memory, the artist traces a path
> through layers of individual and collective experience — from a city park
> in Chișinău, to her grandmother’s rural home, in her search for nettles.
> She constructs a landscape of memory in which images, forms, and gestures
> become intuitive practices of healing.
>
> This journey is an attempt to restore lost rhythms and bodily sensations,
> forgotten in the tears between natural cycles and the logic of contemporary
> civilization.
>
> Since 2008, the work of Tatiana Fiodorova-Lefter has been exhibited in
> solo and group shows, as well as, festivals across Europe and beyond.
>
> In 2023, she was awarded a prestigious art and theory fellowship for her
> project «*In Ruins / In Search of Identity»*, which was presented in the
> group exhibition «*The Secret Life of Plants and Trees»* at
> *KUNSTPAVILLON* (Innsbruck, Austria).
>
> «*Gradina Urzică*» was first presented in March 2025 at the «*Green and
> Just Transition Summit»* in Chișinău and was supported and funded by the *Danish
> Cultural Foundation*.
>
> The project is presented as a multimedia installation, and brings together
> works created in various techniques — from painting and graphic art to
> textilе, ceramics, and experimental media.
