diskurs 07 is a festival for young art from Europe, with the emphasis
on the performing arts. It is open for various forms of theatre,
dance, performance, installation, music, literature, film and video.
diskurs 07 looks for works that reflect and question their efficacy
in social and political reality.  diskurs 07 is all about
investigating and researching non-established forms of artistic
activity. diskurs 07 is interested in experiments.
diskurs 07 offers young artists and cultural workers a platform to
present their artistic approaches and working methods in order to put
them up for discussion. Facilities such as reading rooms, panel
discussions and public debates foster the constructive exchange of
all those who take part in the festival. In this way, diskurs 07
wants to provide a base for cooperation and networking. Therefore the
artists and guests taking part are present throughout the entire
festival week.
diskurs 07 explores the subject of twilight.
To what extent can twilight be practiced as an attitude for artistic
activity? Which unknown scopes surface when day gives way to night?
How can one trust ones own perception in the twilight? How do we cope
with the fact that our ability to distinguish is impaired? Can
twilight prove that other concepts are possible as well?
Twilight should be understood as a suggestion. diskurs 07 looks for
questions emerging from the confrontation of various artistic
approaches with the common subject of twilight. This opens up the
field on which diskurs 07 can take place.
diskurs 07 takes care of travelling expenses, transport charges and
