You are invited to participate to the first
Bricophone Project workshop at FoAM lab in
Bruxelles.

The Bricophone project aims to develop a low-cost
Open-Source DIY and independant cellular
telephony infrastructure for unequiped areas or
special events. The Bricophone gathers different
new hardware and software techniques to create a
cheap, fast and easy-to-deploy independant
cellular telephony infrastructure.  The system
doesn't use the actual telephony
networks/technologies/economy and should include
anti-control technologies. Open source hardware
and open source software are an alternative to
the technical, cultural, political and economical
dependency to more and more powerfull
communication companies in the world.
The principal actors of this open workshop are
artists, activists, NGOs, developpers and
participants of the Bricolabs

Programm:

Jean-Noël Montagné from Centre de Ressources Art
Sensitif http://www.craslab.org in Paris will
present the Bricophone concepts.  A cultural and
technical workshop on the topic will follow the
presentation, trying to organize the different
technical and ethical roadmaps to launch the
first  hardware, software and communication works.

Vous êtes invité à participer au premier atelier
du projet Bricophone à FoAM à Bruxelles le 28
septembre 2007.

Le Bricophone est un projet matériel et logiciel
pour construire une infrastructure de téléphonie
mobile alternative sous licence libre (logiciel
et matériel), à très bas coût, et en
Faites-Le-Vous-Même. Le Bricophone relie diverses
techniques matérielles et logicielles pour créer
une infrastructure de communication peu couteuse
et rapide à mettre en oeuvre. Le système
n'utilise pas les infrastructures de téléphonie
actuelles et pourra inclure des technologies
anti-contrôle. Les matériels, les logiciels et
les projets en ressource Libre sont une
alternative à la dépendance technologique,
politique, économique et culturelle à des
companies de communication de plus en plus
puissantes.
Les principaux participants de cet atelier sont
des artistes, des activistes, des ONG, des
développeurs et des particpants au réseau
