International Summer School for Young Theatre Artists

Basic knowledge of russian is required

Theatre Union of Russia, following the success of 2007 Summer School, will
host its second Summer School for Young Professional Actors from June 1 to
June 28, 2008 in small town of Zvenigorod, Moscow Region.
For the period of the School participants will have classes of Voice,
Movement, Scenic Fight, Fencing, Acrobatics, History of Theatre, History
of Russian Theatre, and Acting. All classes will be taught by teachers and
professors from RATI-GITIS, Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute, Mikhail
Shchepkin Higher Theatre College, St-Petersburg State Theatre Arts
Academy.

Additional master classes with theatre and cinema practitioners are also
planned within the framework of the School. Participants will have
opportunity for local excursions, Moscow museum and Moscow theatre visits.

Resulting from the School its participants will create 4-5 performances in
genres of drama, plastic arts, music, and theatre for the youth.

The Summer School is addressed to all Young (up to 35 years) Professionals
Actors with Basic Knowledge of Russian. Please note that while fluency in
Russian is not required for the Classes, Basic Knowledge of the language
is absolutely essential.

Organizer will cover all expenses as of accommodation, meals, applicable
performance tickets, local transportation, and other eligible expenses in
Russia. Participants must cover their International Travel, Visa and
Insurance costs (organizer will assist with obtaining Russian Visas).

Applications are accepted via E-mail until March 3, 2008 and are to be
submitted in RUSSION ONLY.
