FORUM OF YOUNG EUROPEAN PLAYWRIGHTS

Within the framework of the festival

NEW PLAYS FROM EUROPE 2008

from 12th of June to 22nd of June 2008

The FORUM OF YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS offers the opportunity to work in an
English or German speaking workshop during the festival, to attend the
invited productions, to exchange ideas and experiences with other
playwrights and to participate in discussions to 20 young authors from all
over Europe. In 2004 the English workshop was offered by the acclaimed
playwright Biljana Srbljanovic, German workshop by Thomas Jonigk, in 2006
by Biljana Srbljanovic and Bernhard Studlar. For 2008, Neil LaBute and
Theresia Walser are requested. The results of the workshops will be
presented to the public on 21st of June.

The participating playwrights should have already written at least one
play, which has been staged or been performed in a reading. They shouldn´t
be over 35 years old.

Travel costs, simple accommodation, tickets for festival's performances,
per diems and fees will be granted to participants.

Applications, including an english, french or german translation of the
complete text of one of their plays, a short CV and contact addresses

FORUM JUNGER AUTOREN EUROPAS

Im Rahmen des Festivals

NEUE STÜCKE AUS EUROPA 2008

vom 12. bis 22. Juni 2008

Das FORUM JUNGER AUTOREN EUROPAS bietet 20 jungen Dramatikern aus ganz
Europa Gelegenheit, in einem englisch- oder deutschsprachigen Workshop zu
arbeiten, die zum Festival eingeladenen Produktionen zu besuchen, Ideen
und Erfahrungen mit anderen Autoren auszutauschen und an zahlreichen
Diskussionen teilzunehmen.

Im Jahr 2004 wurde das englischsprachige FORUM von der Preisträgerin des
Premio-Europa, Biljana Srbljanovic, der deutschsprachige von Thomas Jonigk
geleitet; im Jahr 2006 von Biljana Srbljanovic bzw. Bernhard Studlar. Für
2008 sind Neil LaBute und Theresia Walser angefragt. Die Ergebnisse des
FORUMS werden der Öffentlichkeit am 21. Juni 2008 vorgestellt.

Die teilnehmenden Dramatiker sollten bisher mindestens ein Stück
geschrieben haben, das inszeniert bzw. in einer szenischen Lesung
präsentiert wurde und sollten nicht älter als 35 Jahre sein.

Reisekosten, (einfache) Unterbringung, Festivalkarten, Tagegelder und
Kursgebühren werden vom Festival getragen. Bewerbungen mit einem
kompletten Stücktext (in deutscher, französischer oder englischer
Sprache), einem kurzen Lebenslauf und Kontaktadressen sind an folgende
