para cualquier pregunta, dirigirse a [mac la eivissa.es], por favor
el museu d'art contemporani d'eivissa y el consejo rector de la
bienal convocan la 20 biennal d'eivissa que será inaugurada durante
el otoño de 2008 en el museu d'art contemporani d'eivissa y que se
regirá por las siguientes bases:
1.- participantes:
+ la participación será libre y gratuita.
2.-condiciones técnicas:
+ la bienal, habiendo estado especializada en obra gráfica
(ibizagráfic), mantiene y admite cualquier técnica de estampación,
nuevas tecnologías o innovaciones técnicas en el ámbito del grabado y
formatos digitales como la fotografía, la videocreación, el code.art,
etc.
+ todas las obras presentadas deberán haber sido realizadas después de 2006.
+ se rechazarán aquellas obras que no se presenten en perfectas
condiciones o que por la fragilidad o poca consistencia del material
empleado puedan fácilmente deteriorarse.
+ para soportes analógicos las obras no podrán exceder de 100 x 100
cm por exigencias técnicas.
+ para soportes digitales se aceptarán: cd, dvd (pal), vhs (pal), url.
3.- plazo, lugar, forma de presentación y devolución:
+ los días hábiles, comprendidos a partir del día de aparición de
esta convocatoria y hasta el día 30 de octubre. en horario de 10.00
a 13.30 horas y de 18.00 a 20.00 horas.
+ la entrega de obras envasables y/o analógicas se hará en el
ajuntament d'eivissa (museu d'art contemporani d'eivissa). plaça
d'espanya, 1. dalt vila. 07800. eivissa. (illes balears); o museu
d'art contemporani d'eivissa. apartado de correos 251. 07800 eivissa
(illes balears), en mano, por vía postal o servicio de transporte.
estas obras deberán estar claramente etiquetadas con sus datos.
+ todos los gastos de envío incluyendo las tarifas de aduanas
correrán por cuenta del remitente.
+ no se aceptarán envíos con cargo al destinatario.
+ se adjuntará un fichero de .txt de inscripción
+ se rechazará cualquier obra que no vaya acompañada del fichero de .txt.
+ las obras que quieran inscribirse deben adjuntar autorización para
el uso de material protegido por derechos de autor y copyright que en
ellas se incluya.
+ envasables:
++ fotografía (formatos digitales de imagen + .txt).
++ infografía (formatos digitales de imagen + .txt).
++ videoarte (formatos digitales de vídeo de duración inferior a
00h07m00s + .txt).
++ code.art + .txt.
+ direccionables: enviar la url + .txt a [mac la eivissa.es]
+ el museu d'art contemporani d'eivissa no se hará responsable de los
extravíos, retenciones en el servicio postal o transporte, así como
de los desperfectos que pudieran producirse durante el envío de las
obras o su reexpedición.
+ cada obra deberá ser valorada en euros por su autor (por una
cantidad que no excederá los 600 euros).
+ las obras analógicas serán devueltas en las mismas condiciones y
embalajes de su recepción, corriendo los gastos por cuenta del autor.
+ se solicitarán las devoluciones a partir de la clausura de la
bienal para aquellas obras que no han sido seleccionadas. y a partir
de un año después de clausurada la bienal para las seleccionadas.
también podrán ser retiradas personalmente, previo aviso al museo.
en el caso de no ser solicitadas quedarán en el museo en calidad de
depósito.
+ las obras digitales no serán devueltas, sean o no seleccionadas.
4.- exposición:
+ las obras seleccionadas, premiadas y no premiadas, serán expuestas
en el museu d'art contemporani d'eivissa o en salas de su competencia
y permanecerán en depósito a su disposición, durante un periodo de un
año a partir de la clausura de la bienal, por si éste decidiera
organizar otras exposiciones de carácter temporal o itinerante con
ellas.
5.- jurado:
+ estará integrado por cinco vocales expertos bajo la presidencia del
presidente del patronato del museo y en su ausencia por el
vicepresidente. su secretario será el titular de la comisaría de la
bienal. la comisaría de la bienal determinará las obras seleccionadas
y resolvera todos los casos no especificados por la presente
convocatoria. el jurado determinará las obras premiadas y las
posibles menciones honoríficas y su veredicto será inapelable. los
premios se harán públicos en el acto de inauguración de la bienal.
también se hará pública la selección de autores.
6.- premios:
+ se establecen tres premios, detallándose, primero, segundo y
tercero, que consistirán en la adquisición de las obras premiadas,
pasando éstas a formar parte de las colecciones del museo, salvo en
los concretos casos de code.art , que por sus especiales
características no pueden ser adquiridas pero sí premiadas.
7.- aceptación de las bases:
+ la participación en esta convocatoria supone la aceptación íntegra
de las presentes bases. para posibles reclamaciones sólo se admitirá
recurso en primera instancia ante el consejo rector de la bienal de
ibiza y en segunda instancia ante los tribunales ordinarios de la
isla de ibiza.
+ los artistas seleccionados autorizan la citación de sus nombres así
como la reproducción fotográfica de sus obras, en el catálogo de la
bienal, medios de comunicación y dentro del programa de actividades
de la bienal. transcurrido un mes desde la fecha de clausura de la
bienal no podrá interponerse reclamación alguna.

the museu d'art contemporani d'eivissa and the biennial committee are
organizing the 20 biennal d'eivissa, which shall open in autumn 2008
in the museu d'art contemporani d'eivissa and which shall governed by
the following rules:
1. participants:

2. technical conditions:
+ the biennial, having specialized in graphic work (ibizagráfic),
maintains and accepts any printing technique, new technologies or
technical innovations in the context of engraving, digital format
such as photography, video creation, code, art, etc.
+ all works presented must have been made after 2006.
+ work will be rejected where it is not presented in perfect
condition or where, because of the fragility or weak consistency of
the material used, it can easily deteriorate.
+ due to technical requirements, for analogical media the work may
not exceed 100 x 100 cm.
+ for digital media the following shall be accepted: cds, dvds (pal),
vhs' (pal), urls.
3. time limit, place, form of presentation and return:
+ on working days, from the date of the appearance of this invitation
and until 30 october. from 10 am to 13.30 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm.
+ the delivery of work that can be packed and/or is analogical shall
be made in the ajuntament d'eivissa (museu d'art contemporani

service. these works must be clearly labelled with their details.
+ all the costs of sending, including customs duties, shall be borne
by the sender.
+ deliveries shall not be accepted at the cost of the recipient.
+ a .txt registration file shall be enclosed
+ any work that is not accompanied by the .txt file shall be rejected.
+ the works that you wish to register must include authorisation for
the use of material protected by intellectual property rights and
copyright where these are included in it.
+ packageable:
++ photography (digital image formats + .txt).
++ infography (digital image formats + .txt).
++ video art (digital video formats + 00h07m00s + .txt)
++ code art + .txt.
+ addressable: send the url + .txt to [mac la eivissa.es]
+ the museu d'art contemporani d'eivissa shall not be liable for
loss, retention by the postal or transport service, or for damage
that may arise during the delivery of the work or during its return.
+ each work must be valued in euros by its author (for an amount that

4. exhibition:
+ the selected works, whether or not they receive prizes, shall be
exhibited in the museu d'art contemporani d'eivissa or other
exhibitions run by the museum and shall remain available to it in
deposit, for the period of one year from the closure of the biennial,
should it decide to organize other temporary or touring exhibitions
of them.
5. panel:
+ this shall be made up of five expert members under the chairmanship
of the president of the board of the museum and in his absence by the
vice-chairman. his secretary shall be the commissioner of the
biennial. the commissioner of the biennial shall determine the works
selected and shall resolve all matters not specified herein. the
panel shall determine which works receive prizes and any possible
honorary mentions and its verdict shall be final. the prizes shall be
made public in the act of opening the biennial. the selection of
artists shall also be made public.
6. prizes:
+ three prizes have been established, these being first, second and
third, which shall consist in the acquisition of the prize-winning
works, which shall then form part of the collections of the museum,
except in the specific cases of code.art which, because of their
special characteristics, cannot be acquired but can win prizes.
7. acceptance of the rules:
+ participation in this invitation implies full acceptance of these
rules. for possible complaints, claims shall only be accepted in the
first instance before the committee of the ibiza biennial and in the
second instance before the ordinary courts for the island of ibiza.
+ the selected artists authorize the use of their names as well as
the photographic reproduction of their works, in the catalogue of the
biennial, in the mass media and in the programme of activities of the
biennial. after one month has expired from the closure of the
biennial no claim whatsoever may be brought.
