Die Galerie IG BILDENDE KUNST ist ein Ausstellungsraum mit programmatischer
Ausrichtung und nicht kommerziell orientiert. Der Schwerpunkt der
Ausstellungsprojekte liegt auf aktuellen kulturpolitischen, kunstpolitischen
und gesellschaftspolitischen Inhalten, die mittels k?nstlerischer Praktiken
und Ausdrucksformen in kuratierten Gruppenausstellungen kommuniziert werden.

Einreichunterlagen
1 Detaillierte Beschreibung des Projektes (max. f?nf A4 Seiten)
2 Aussagekr?ftige Kurzbeschreibung des Projektes (1000 Zeichen), die
in der ?ffentlichen Jurysitzung vorgelesen wird
3 Beschreibung der visuellen Umsetzung unter Ber?cksichtigung der
?rtlichen Gegebenheiten (Ausstellungsraum, Schaufenster, etc.)
4 Name und Kontaktadresse (Telefonnummer und Emailadresse) der
Projekteinreicher/in sowie ein kurzer Lebenslauf/Biografie
5 eine (vorl?ufige) Auflistung der beteiligten K?nstler_innen
(eventuell mit Kurzbiografien und Bildbeispielen)
6 ggf. Konzepte f?r m?gliche Rahmenveranstaltungen (Diskussionen,
Aktionen, Screenings,... etc.)
7 eine realistische Kostensch?tzung sowie ein Finanzierungsplan

Dauer/ Termine
Die durchschnittliche Ausstellungsdauer liegt bei etwa 6 Wochen,
voraussichtliche Projekter?ffnungstermine sind:
Mitte J?nner, Anfang April, Mitte Juni (Sommerpause im August!), Mitte
September und Mitte November.
Alle Projekteinreicher_innen k?nnen Wunschtermine angeben, die jedoch nicht
zwingend ber?cksichtigt werden k?nnen.

Auswahl
Am 30. September, 18 Uhr werden die eingereichten Projekte in Form einer
?ffentlichen Jurysitzung in der IG BILDENDE KUNST vom Vorstand besprochen
und ein bis zwei Projekte f?r das Jahresprogramm 2009 ausgew?hlt.

Kriterien
Bevorzugt werden Projekte, die im Sinne eines erweiterten Kunstbegriffs
kritische  kunstimmanente Fragestellungen, subversive Strategien,
transdisziplin?res oder partizipatorisches Denken und Arbeiten beinhalten
und f?rdern.

Einzelausstellungen sind grunds?tzlich nicht m?glich.

Einreichschluss ist der 16. September 2008 (Poststempel). Der Vorstand der
IG
BILDENDE KUNST w?hlt am 30. September 2008, 18h in der IG BILDENDE KUNST in
einer ?ffentlichen Jurysitzung aus den eingereichten Projekten ein bis zwei
Projekte aus.

Projektvorschl?ge k?nnen per Email, auf dem Postweg oder auch pers?nlich (Di
? Fr 13 -18h) abgegeben werden. Alle Einreicher/innen werden vom Ergebnis
per Email informiert.

The IG BILDENDE KUNST Gallery invites suggestions or concepts for the
Exhibition Programme 200.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The IG BILDENDE KUNST Gallery is an exhibition space with a programmatic
orientation and is a non-commercial enterprise. The focus of the exhibition
projects is a concern with content dealing with the current politics of
culture, art and society to be communicated in curated group shows using
artistic practices and means of expression.

Submission documentation requirements
1 Detailed description of the project (maximum of five A4 pages)
2 Meaningful short description of the project (1000 characters) that
will be read in the public-access jury meeting
3 Description of the visual realisation taking into account on-site
conditions (available space, display windows etc.)
4 Name and Contact address (telephone number and e-mail address) of
the project leader/proposer as well as a short curriculum vitae/biography
5 A (provisional) list of participating artists (with short cvs and
photos of examples of the works if possible)
6 Concept of accompanying events (discussions, actions, screenings
etc.) if any
7 A realistic estimate of costs along with a finance plan

Duration / dates
The length of most exhibitions is around six weeks. Usual opening dates for
projects are as follows:
mid-January, early April, mid-June (closed in August!), mid September and
mid November.
Project submitters may propose a specific opening date but it may not be
possible to take this into account.

Selection
On the 30th of September, 6 p.m. the submitted projects will be considered
by the executive committee in the form of a public-access jury meeting in
the IG BILDENDE KUNST Gallery. One or two projects will then be selected for
the 2009 programme.

Criteria
Preference will be given to projects that take into account an extended
definition of art, manifest and foster critical art-immanent questions,
subversive strategies, transdisciplinary or participatory modes of thinking
and working.

Solo shows are excluded on principle.

3 free membership of the IG BILDENDE KUNST for 1 calendar year for
curator(s) and artists resident in Austria

4       Press work, web mailings, website updates?

5       Printing, graphic design and distribution of 1000 IG
exhibition folders

6       Additional installation and dismantling of the exhibition up
to 15 hours

7       Opening event and help for the evening opening of the
exhibition

8       Photographic documentation of the exhibition

9    Support in obtaining additional financing use of our equipment

Deadline  for submissions is the 16th of September 2008 (date stamp on
envelope). On the 30th of September at 6 p.m. the executive committee of IG
BILDENDE KUNST will select one or two projects in a public session of the
jury.
Project proposals may be submitted by e-mail, normal post or personally
(Tues ? Fri, 1 ? 6 p.m.) Submitters will receive notification of the results
by e-mail.
