UNIDEE in Residence 2009 application guidelines



UniCredit and Unidee establish scholarship grants to offer creative people
coming from Est-European Countries the opportunity to be an active
participant in the Unidee & UniCredit project.

* *

*Nature of the programme*: the goal of the Unidee & UniCredit project is to
activate creative processes for socially responsible change. The
participants will have the task and the opportunity to conceive, promote and
coordinate a *initiative*, such as conference, meetings, exhibitions
and workshops
in collaboration with cultural local institutions in their countries and in
agreement with UniCredit and Cittadellarte. The *initiative *will be aimed
at researching and promoting the relation between the world of finance, of
enterprise and of culture, stimulating the dialogue between different
disciplines and cultural environments in the home countries of the
applicants.



*Number of Grants: *3

* *

*Eligibility*: artists, curators, managers of socio-cultural projects
from *Croatia,
Ukraine,** **Serbia** **and Bulgaria*.
Working knowledge of English required. Selection of applicants will be based
on:**

- creative attitude towards social engagement

- professional experience.

- project proposals for a *initiative *to be developed during the residency
programme with the support of Unidee and Cittadellarte staff and submitted
to UniCredit at the end of the residence. UniCredit's Board will finally
evaluate the proposals and take final decisions upon the realisation of the
event in the applicant's home country.

At the end of the course each resident receives an attendance certificate.
This will not, however, be issued if the resident has been absent for more
than 20% of the entire period of the residency.

*The Grants*: UniCredit offers to three applicants from Est-European
countries the possibility to take part in Unidee in Residence 2008 by
covering the whole UNIDEE fee of 10.000,00 Euro to Cittadellarte which
includes attendance of workshops and seminaries, the visits and
inspections, the
participation in the Cittadellarte's activities, the tutors assistance, the
board and lodging on the premises for the four months of residency programme
and travel expenses (one return flight at lowest available fare).



*How to apply*: submitting the UNIDEE in Residence application form (to be
downloaded from the website or requested from the office) together with the
following documents:

- curriculum vitae

- documentation of previous work

- outline of a *initiative *to be developed during the months of the
residency and possibly realised in the applicant's home country.

- a letter of personal motivation

*Working/living conditions*: the Foundation provides private room, board and
a common studio space (a 700 square meter loft), simple wood-working shop,
library, computer room, cafeteria and kitchen. During the programme,
residents attend lectures and project presentations, develop projects in
collaboration with other residents and the Pistoletto Foundation itself. The
Foundation arranges opportunities to meet and collaborate with experts as
well as local partners such as companies, neighbourhoods, schools,
institutions and councils.
