Performing Arts Lab in Düsseldorf

28.05 - 07.06.2009, tanzhaus nrw, Düsseldorf
Application Deadline: 01.04.2009.

Do you like to PLAY? Are you incorrigible Curious? Are you interested in
developing performing arts events with and for kids and teenagers?  if
YES, then... come and join us for “Spielplatz : Playground - Laboratory
of Performing Arts for Teens”!

What is going on?
“Spielplatz : Playground” is a 7-days workshop offering to 7 young
actors in the field of performing arts from Center, Southern and Eastern
European countries the chance to
•	meet and debate issues of the preforming arts scene of their own
countries
•	get to know professionals with a wide experience in the performing
arts addressing to a young audience and gain new perspectives on the
staging and performing processes
•	develop a short performance for the young audience
•	meet young cultural managers from their countries engaged in the
performing arts field
The workshop and its results will be documented on a DVD set.

When and were?
Between 28.05 - 07.06.2009 @ tanzhaus nrw. in Düsseldorf, Germany

Participation conditions:
−	Age limit: 30
−	Country of residence: Central and Eastern Europe
−	Good knowledge of English (German is an asset)
We cover your travel (only cheap flights) and accommodation expenses.

Application process:
The application must include following informations on a single page (A4):
−	Name and surname
−	Date of birth
−	Country of residence and your present location (if is not the same place)
−	Your answer to the following questions:
1.	Why do you want to participate in the workshop and what are your plans
afterwards?
2.	What are you expecting from this workshop? (what would you like to do
or rather to avoid in the workshop)
3.	What is your experience in the field of performing arts for kids and
teenagers?

Please send us your application only by e-mail to Desislava Tsoneva –
spielplatz09 la googlemail.com no later than Friday, April 1st, 2009. Please
consider that a selection of the applications might be required due to the
limited number of participants in the workshop (only 7). We thank you in
advance for your understanding.

The project is organized by an independent group of young cultural
managers from Central and Eastern Europe in collaboration with tanzhaus
nrw. from Düsseldorf. The project is funded by the Youth in Action
program of the European Commission and kindly supported by MitOst e.V. and
the Robert Bosch Stiftung foundation.
