10th International Short Film Festival

“One Minute” / “Short Films” / “Cinema Without Borders”

Submissions are free for all. There is no entry fee. Films must have
English subtitles. All submitted films have to be labelled with a date,
film title and the filmmaker’s name must be given.

Screening Formats

The following digital formats are accepted: DV.avi, HDV.mpeg and Quicktime
and any digital broadcastable quality (all in PAL Standard). Blue Ray
Discs cannot be accepted. Do not send demos or promos.

Postal Service / Insurance

CDs/DVDs can be sent by postal mail or any free sharing service via
internet. CDs and DVDs must be sent with a customs declaration on the
packaging stating the following: "For temporary, cultural purposes only.
No commercial value"; CDs, DVDs will be not returned. Expenses for return
shipment of DVDs and tapes are to be paid by the addressee. Please send
copies or dubs only! There is no insurance cover available.

Adjudication
Festival will judge the submitted films and select for “One Minute” /
“Short Films” / “Cinema Without Borders” categories for screenings in May.
Participants not included in program will be informed via email before the
festival‘s official opening. After festival is over, selected films will
be archived and could be screened for promotional and non commercial
purposes only.

Copyright

The filmmaker declares that he/she has the copyright of the work including
photography and sound. The case where copyrights have been violated
festival takes no responsibility.

CATEGORIES

The films presented must be produced not earlier than January 1th, 2010.

ONE MINUTE ONE SHOT

1. The film presented must be one minute long (60sec. without titles).
2. The work must be shot in one frame. Shots cannot be cut, combined or
mixed into one.
3. Multiplication in animation (multi shots) is not against the rules as
it is a production technique. However direct editing /cuts in different
scenes/ shots (close up - middle, etc) are not allowed.
4. The titles must be 10 seconds long and must be placed at the beginning
of the one minute film. Besides original language, English subtitles are
required.
5. The author is free to express his/her ideas and views in any form and
genre.

SHORT FILMS

1. Up to 40 minutes.
2. Without any limitations in form and genre.

FILM WITHOUT BORDERS

1. The only “space” of the festival, where full length, experimental or
“OTHER” films are shown.
2. The space for films, which are out of selection, but are worth to be
screened and discussed.
