Campania noastră împotriva utilizării necorespunzătoare a  
spaţiului public de către şoferi, încet-încet obţine tot mai mult  
impact. Vinerea trecută am decis să activăm campania, invitând  
locuitorii oraşului să ni se alăture pentru a distribui fluturaşe.  
Din păcate, doar câteva persoane au venit (trebuie să admitem că a  
fost, în parte, din cauza planificării proaste a evenimentului şi  
vom lua notă pentru a ne organiza mai bine în viitor), dar  
suprinzător, reprezentanţi ai mass-media au venit la Bucureşti 68  
pentru a filma acţiunea noastră. Deşi au fost un pic dezamăgiţi de  
lipsa de oameni, au reuşit să înregistreze material suficient pentru  
a arăta că în oraşul Chişinău au loc nişte acţiuni. Este  
interesant să observăm rezultatele:


Moldova 1 a hotărât să aducă în atenţia telespectatorilor  
conflictul dintre pietoni şi proprietari de maşini, inclusiv un  
şofer ţipând, un om care nu putea înţelege ce se întâmplă  
regăsindu-se înconjurat de trei camere. Dar pare-se nimeni nu  
realizează că nu există nici o diferenţă între un pieton şi un  
proprietar de maşină, pentru că imediat ce şoferul parchează  
maşina sa pe trotuar, devine şi el un pieton afectat.

Pe de altă parte, TVC 21 a preferat să sublinieze faptul că  
autorităţile ar trebui să se implice în acest conflict şi că ar  
trebui să fie creată o reţea de transport alternativ, iar reţeaua  
existentă de transport public ar trebui îmbunătăţită.

În sfârşit, editorul de la TV7 a încercat să prezinte acţiunea cu  
entuziasm şi puţin exotism, susţinând că “Străinii fac  
regula”. Eu sunt o străină şi aş dori să spun că nu sunt de  
acord cu titlul acesta. Scopul nostru nu este să dictăm regulile şi  
legile (care deja există) în oraşul Chişinău; scopul nostru, ca  
voluntari, este să observăm, să învăţăm şi să ajutăm cât de  
mult putem, dar niciodată să impunem civilizaţia europeană  
occidentală în defavoarea civilizaţiei europene estice.

Oricum, sperăm că atenţia venită din partea mass-media va contribui  
la succesul acţiunilor viitoare şi că mai mulţi locuitori ai  
Chişinăului ni se vor alătura în campania pentru un spaţiu public  
liber de maşini.

Noi nu am vrut ca prezenţa camerelor să ne distragă atenţia prea  
mult, aşa că după ce au plecat jurnaliștii, am continuat acţiunea  
noastră şi am mers în centrul oraşului pentru a distribui  
fluturaşe.

Din acest motiv vă invităm să vă alăturați noii noastre acțiuni  
și să ne ajutați să distribuim fluturașe cu mesajul  
“FELICITĂRI! Automobilul dvs. este al 200.000-lea într-un oraș  
proiectat pentru 80.000 mașini!”. Puteți descărca fluturașul de

Our campaign against the misuse of public space by the car drivers, is  
slowly getting more and more impact. Last Friday, we decided to  
activate the campaign by inviting other people to join us to  
distribute the flyers. Sadly, just few people joined (we have to admit  
that it was, in part, due to our bad planning of the event, and we  
take note to improve it in the future), but surprisingly, the mass  
media came to Bucuresti 68 to film our action. Although they were a  
little bit disapointed by the lack of people, they manage to record  
enough material to show that some action was happening in the city of  
Chisinau. It is interesting to see the results.

Moldova 1 decided to highlight the conflict between pedestrians and  
car owners, including a screaming driver, a man that couldn’t  
understand what was going on and found himself surrounded with three  
cameras. The funny part is that nobody seems to realize that there is  
no difference between a pedestrian and a car owner, as, as soon as the  
driver parks his car on the sidewalk, he becomes an affected pedestrian.

On the other side, TVC 21 prefered to point out the fact that the  
autorithies should be involved into the conflict and that a network of  
alternative transport should be created, as well as the existing  
public transport network should be improved.

Finally, the editor of TV7 tried to put excitment to the action  
including an exotice touch and claiming that Foreigners make the rule.  
As a foreigner, I would like to disagree with the headline. Our  
purpose is not to dictate the rules and laws of the city of Chisinau,  
which are already there, our purpose as volunteers is to observe, to  
learn, and to help as much as we can, but never to impose our western  
european civilization to your eastern european civilization.

Anyway, we hope that the atention the mass media gave to us will help  
on the success of future actions and that more citizens of Chisinau  
will join us in the campaign for a public space free of cars.

But we didn’t want that the presence of the cameras erase our duty,  
so as soon as they left, we proceed to the action and walked the city  
center to distribute the flyers.

That’s why we would like to invite you to join us in our next action  
to help us to distribute flyers with the message “CONGRATULATIONS!  
Your car is the 200.000 in a city designed for 80.000 cars“. You can
