BADco. invites you to a Salon in the framework of LABO21:

"Exploded Views of Performance - Frontiers of Analysis, Frontiers of
Poetics"

05.-07.12.2013 @ net.culture club mama, Preradoviceva 18, Zagreb

The three-day program "Exploded Views of Performance" brings insight into
current interdisciplinary-research trends in the field of contemporary
dance and the broader field of theatrical performance. A large number of
prominent theater makers today collaborates with scientists and technology
experts in the analysis of poetic, methodological and research premises of
their own artwork. These tendencies have been stimulated by the latest
scientific findings in neuroscience, kinesthetics or mediology, as well as
technological innovations in the field of computer analysis, design and
representation of the processes of high complexity such as the
sensory-mechanical processes in the body, processes of choreographic
composition or theatrical performance. The aim of these interdisciplinary
research activities is to bring forward the specific knowledge and
practices that arise in the creative work of these artists, for the public,
the young creators and scientists, in the form of exhibitions, publications
and workshops. And sometimes to bring back thus acquired insights into
further creative work of the artist.

"Exploded Views of Performance" will through public talks, presentations
and a workshop present research activities and artistic work of Jan Fabre
(Troubleyn/Laboratorium), Chistine Gaigg, Emio Greco (ICKamsterdam),
Marjana Krajac, Wayne McGreggor (Random Dance), the Motion Bank project by
William Forsythe and work of BADco.

On Wednesday (04.12.) 20:00 at Gallery Nova (Teslina 7) BADco. will open
the performative installation

*Broken Performances*
a work based on the analysis and documentation of the 2004 choreography
"Fleshdance". During the opening BADco. will present the installation and
perform segment of the choreography. The installation remains open until
Sunday (08.12.) and includes units of live performance every hour on the
hour throughout the duration of the exhibition.

The symposium part of the program on Thursday (05.12.) and Saturday
(07.12.) will include talks by renown performance researchers, dramaturgs
and artists: Bertha Bermudez Pascual (ICKamsterdam), Elke van Campenhout
(a.pass), Scott deLahunta (Coventry University/Motion Bank/Random Dance),
Christine Gaigg (2nd Nature), Joe Kelleher (Roehampton University), Marjana
Krajac, Goran Sergej Pristas (BADco.), Jonas Rutgeerts (Troubleyn/Jan
Fabre), Sarah Whatley (Coventry University).

On Friday (06.12.) Austrian choreographer Christine Gaigg will hold a
workshop "Frame by Frame" that will, jointly with its participants, analyze
the procedures of her most recent choreography "DeSacre!" (2013), a
docu-performance that brings together quotes of Stravinsky’s and Nijinsky’s
"Le Sacre du Printemps" of 1913 and the artistic action of Pussy Riot in
Moscow’s Cathedral Christ the Saviour in2012.

BADco. vas poziva na Salon u sklopu projekta LABO21:

"Eksplodirani prikazi izvedbe – poprista analize, poprista poetike"

05.-07.12.2013. @ klub za net.kulturu mama, Preradoviceva 18

Trodnevni program "Eksplodirani prikazi izvedbe" donosi uvid u aktualne
interdisciplinarno-istrazivacke tendencije na polju suvremenog plesa i
sirem polju kazalisne izvedbe. Veliki broj istaknutih kazalisnih
stvaratelja danas suradjuje sa znanstvenicima i strucnjacima za tehnologiju
na analizi poetskih, metodoloskih i izvodjackih pretpostavki vlastitog
umjetnickog rada.
Cilj tih
interdisciplinarno-istrazivackih aktivnosti je pribliziti specificnu praksu
i znanja koja nastaju u stvaralackom radu tih umjetnika publici, mladim
stvarateljima i znanstvenicima u formi izlozbi, publikacija i radionica, a
ponekad i tako stecene uvide vratiti i u daljnji stvaralacki rad.

Tako ce program Eksplodirani prikazi izvedbe kroz predavanja, prezentacije
i radionicu predstaviti istrazivacke aktivnosti o i u umjetnickom radu Jana
Fabrea (Troubleyn/Laboratorium), Chistine Gaigg, Emija Greca
(ICKamsterdam), Marjane Krajac, Waynea McGreggora (Random Dance), projekta
Motion Bank kompanije Williama Forsythea i rad BADco.

U srijedu (04.12.) u 20:00 BADco. u Galeriji Nova (Teslina 7) otvara
izvedbenu instalaciju

*Strgane izvedbe*
koja je nastala temeljem analize i dokumentacije koreografije "Fleshdance"
iz 2004. godine. Prilikom otvorenja izlozbe BADco. ce detaljnije
prezentirati instalacijski rad i izvesti segmente koreografije. Izlozba
ostaje otvorena do nedjelje (08.12.) uz izvedbu uzivo na svaki puni sat.

U simpozijskom dijelu programa u cetvrtak (05.12.) i subotu (07.12.)
izlagat ce istaknuti teoreticari izvedbe, dramturzi, znanstvenici i
umjetnici: Bertha Bermúdez Pascual (ICKamsterdam), Elke van Campenhout
(a.pass), Scott deLahunta (Coventry University/Motion Bank/Random Dance),
Christine Gaigg (2nd Nature), Joe Kelleher (Roehampton University), Marjana
Krajac, Goran Sergej Pristas (BADco.), Jonas Rutgeerts (Troubleyn/Jan
Fabre), Sarah Whatley (Coventry University).

Stravinskog
i Nizinskog i umjetnicka akcija kolektiva Pussy Riot u moskovskoj Katedrali
Krista Spasitelja.

Sve aktivnosti su na engleskom jeziku.
