organized in Ellend, south Hungary in july.

    Description:

Hangfarm ("Soundfarm") is a forming open-air exhibition area for 
electronic and media arts located in Ellend, a village close to Pécs, 
Hungary. The topics are: technology and nature, electronic arts, 
alternative energy sources. The exhibition area mostly consists of 
diverse fields taken back from agricultural production.
Hangfarm focuses on developing the annually held workshops, and their 
final exhibitions. The workshop takes from 13th to 19th July 2015. The 
exhibition will be open for the public from 18th to 19th July 2015.


    Call for contribution!

1/ call for workshop participants, artists, artist groups and 
volunteers. The participants can work on the Hangfarm during the week of 
13-19th July. During that time, is it possible to develop individual 
artistic ideas, infrastructural adjustments and organizing of 
self-supply. The development projects are realized in groups, the 
artistic ideas are realized individually, in cooperation with mentors.
The participation is self-financing, the cost of the meal is around 1000 
HUF (3 EUR) per day.

The deadline for the registration is 5th July 2015.


2/ Call for artists: the content of exhibition at Hangfarm will be 
collected based on an open call. In this year, plans and documentations 
of sound, video, multimedia and light installations are welcome in the 
following categories:

  * technology and nature: natural placed installations, with or without
    human interaction;
  * alternative energy sources: electronic or organic artworks, which
    provide their own power sources (eg. solar panels, mechanically
    operated generators);
  * movie, animation, or any kind of motion picture;
  * other topic-related artworks, lectures, performances.

The deadline for the application: 21st June 2015.


3/ The Hangfarm is open for the public all day on the weekend of 18-19th 
July.


    Technical informations:

The transportation and accomodation is self-organized, camp site is 
provided for tents. The village has no shops or pubs, therefore the 
gastronomical and transcendental experiences are also self-organized. 
Drinkable running water, fireplace and cafeteria is provided.
