O practică artistică bazată pe libertatea de expresie, ascunsă în dictatură și redescoperită în democrație. De la local la global. De pe hârtie pe zid. Din ziar în muzeu și viceversa. Desenul este unul din cele mai arhaice mijloace de comunicare. Și unul din cele mai contemporane. Artist, activist, cetățean.

Dan PERJOVSCHI [RO] folosește desenele sale binecunoscute, stilul de joc și instalațiile specifice locului pentru a ilustra evenimentele curente, în timp ce declanșează o critică plină de umor în adresa presei internaționale și a actorilor guvernamentali. Lucrările sale satirice reprezintă intervenții schițate cu imagini și texte de știri, transformând galeria într-un spațiu de frustrări relatabile cu condițiile socio-politice. Aflându-se pe o fundație efemeră, Perjovschi nu evită să abordeze contradicțiile inerente scenei socio-economice privilegiate unde pot fi găsite lucrările sale. Pentru violență, opulență și extremism, el răspunde cu râsete, cuvinte  și ridicol, protejând libertatea.

Acest eveniment este organizat în cadrul programului Edu-Art („Fațade Publice: Istorii din Cartier” <https://chisineu.wordpress.com/proiecte/siv-2019/> – Școala Internațională de Vară) și este susținut de Ministerul Educației, Culturii și Cercetării al Republicii Moldova <http://mecc.gov.md/>. Proiectul Edu-Art urmărește să contribuie la formarea unei generații de artiști active din punct de vedere civic și pregătite din punct de vedere profesional, pentru a se realiza în plan național și internaţional.

30 years of freedom – a presentation by Dan PERJOVSCHI [RO]

An artistic practice based on freedom of expression, hidden in dictatorship and rediscovered in democracy. From local to global. From the paper to the wall. From the newspaper to the museum and vice-versa. Drawing is one of the most archaic ways of communication. And one of the most contemporary. Artist, activist, citizen.

Dan PERJOVSCHI [RO] uses his well-known drawings, wordplay and site-specific installations to portray current events while conducting a humorous and sharp critique of international media and government players. His satirical works are sketchbook interventions with images and text in news, transforming the gallery into a space of relatable frustrations with socio-political conditions. Maintaining an ephemeral foundation, Perjovschi does not ignore the inherent contradictions of the socioeconomically privileged arena where his work can be found. To violence, opulence and extremism, he responds with puns, laughter and ridicule as the protection of freedom.

This event is organized in the frame of the Edu-Art program (”Public Facades: Stories from the Neighborhood <https://chisineu.wordpress.com/proiecte/siv-2019/> – International Summer School) with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of Republic of Moldova <https://mecc.gov.md/>. The aim of the project is to educate an active and aware generation of artists, and to prepare them for the professional integration on national and international level.
