Vă invităm să petrecem împreună o după-amiază în cartierul Maria Drăgan din sectorul Ciocană și să celebrăm rezultatele Școlii Internaționale de Vară „Istorii din Cartier: gunoiul din curte tot poate străluci” cu tema: cum să valorificăm resursele comunității locale prin reutilizarea lor și prin upcycling, reducând, astfel, deșeurile?!

Ideea artistei este de a crea o sculptură publică care să poată fi folosită ca obiect în fiecare zi. Aceasta ar trebui să fie o pernă supradimensionată, prezentând pe de-o parte, lucrările artistei Stepanova într-o formă reinterpretată, și, pe de altă parte, să funcționeze ca și o invitație deschisă pentru participanțiii la workshop de a contribui prin inscripții personale.

Perna este un obiect-metaforă pentru vise și un simbol al confortului. Ciocana, de asemenea, este adesea văzută ca un cartier „dormitor” unde oamenii revin seara, după lucru, să se culce. Lucrarea ar trebui să funcționeze ca un obiect colectiv pentru vise – un loc pentru împărtășirea lor și unde acestea ar putea prinde contur.

Invităm publicul să participe la eveniment cu lista adreselor persoanelor cărora le-ar plăcea să trimită o carte poștală de la Ciocana. După publicareă cărții poștale, aceasta va fi expediată gratuit la adresa indicată.

Soluțiile arhitecturale pentru blocurile de locuit devin din ce în ce mai ingenioase odată ce copiii se apucă să le proiecteze. Proiectul dat are intenția de a regândi modul cum sunt construite blocurile de locuit și semnificația anexelor de la bloc. Încă nu e seara..

Atelierul meu se bazează pe ideea împărtășirii (experiența mea) a punctelor de vedere noi (în cazul participanților). Intenția a fost aceea de a atrage tinerii (din liceu, universitate și tineri profesioniști) să gândească într-un context social și politic. În calitate de pretext ne-a servit cartierul Ciocana. Însă problemele profunde de aici sunt inegalitatea, frica, excluziunea, omenirea, societatea de consum, sărăcia, viața contemporană, condițiile de trai etc. Cum să găsim un subiect și cum să-l vizualizăm prin desen? Am realizat o publicație auto-organizată intitulată Dincolo de Ciocana, iar fiecare participant s-a ales cu o singură pagină care tratează una din teme. Toți au luat parte (studenți, alți artiști, voluntari). Fanzine-ul este o platformă de expresie simplă și democratică.

În a doua parte a atelierului, unele desene au fost transpuse pe suprafața gardului metalic în Ciocana, mărimea lor și tehnica fiind adaptate situației socială și arhitecturale de la fața locului. Alegerea a fost să rămânem discreți și să evităm efectul produs de arta stradală (dimensiuni mari, zgomotoasă, dominantă). Invadarea unui spațiu (a nativilor din Ciocana) cu propria subiectivitate nu este cea mai bună tactică. Am ales să fim prezenți într-un mod discret și să „decorăm” într-o măsură mai mare sau mai mică zona de grătar.

După 6 ediții în centrul Chișinăului, EcoVisio au hotărât că e timpul să ducă FreeShop-ul în inima raioanelor. Mai exact, pe strada Maria Drăgan din Ciocana. Așa că vă invităm ca sâmbătă, 27 iulie, timp de 3 ore, să aduceți tot ce aveți pe acasă și nu vă mai trebuie dintre haine, pantofi, accesorii, jucării, cosmetice etc. Noi le vom oferi pe loc oricui le dorește, fără niciun ban și nicio condiție, alta decât ca lucrurile să fie folosite mai departe. Ca de obicei, tot ce rămâne la final de FreeShop va merge la organizații de caritate, pentru a fi distribuite celor nevoiași.

Ca bonus la această ediție, două locuitoare ale Ciocanei își vor pune la dispoziție mașina și dragul de cusut pentru a vă salva hainele în suferință: bluze cu găuri, nasturi căzuți, pantaloni fără margine etc. La fel, nu se cere nicio plată, câtă vreme le oferim hainelor o viață mai lungă alături de voi.

The walk introduces the artistic and communication practices of local and foreign artists, summer school participants and residents of Maria Dragan street. We’ll also get acquainted with the context of the neighborhood and local features of this place.

A new beatbox genre is developing in an isolated Roma ghetto in Baia Mare, Romania. The screenings will take place at the Maria Dragan Library in the presence of the author and will be followed by a question and answer session.

The idea was to create a public sculpture which can be used as everyday object. It should be an over-dimensional pillow, presenting re-interpretations of Stepanova’s textile designs, but on the other hand it should function like a „carte blanche” and an open invitation for personal inscriptions by participants of the workshop.

The pillow is a metaphorical object where dreams take place. It is also a symbol for comfort and cosiness. Ciocana is also often seen as a „sleeping” disctrict where people go back from work just to sleep. It should function like a collective object for dreams and a place to chill and share ideas.

Presenting the outcomes of subversive strategies with the topic of DIY/samizdat publication and postcard. We kindly ask the public to attend the event with a list of addresses of people they would like to send a postcard from Ciociana to. When postcard will be published, few of them will be mailed at the given address for free.

My workshop is based on idea of sharing (experience in my case) new viewpoints (from participants). The intention was to put young people to draw and think (high school, university and young professionals) into a social and political context. The pretext was the Ciocana neighborhood. But the deep issues here are inequality, fear, exclusion, humanity, consume society, poorness, contemporary living, living conditions etc. How to find a topic and how to visualize it trough drawing. We produce a self-organized publication titled Beyond Ciocana and each o the participant have one page-one drawing one publication and end up having one issue of the publication. Everybody participate (students, other artists, volunteers). The Fanzine is a democratic platform and a low tech platform for expression.

In the second part of the workshop some of the drawings were re-drawn on a metal wall at Ciocana, adapting size and technique to the social and architectural situation. The choice was to be discreet and escape the street art or mural attitude (big, noisy, dominant). Invading one space (native of Ciocana) with your own subjectivity is not the best tactics. We choose rather a discreet presence of some visual thinking „decorating” more or less one of the barbecue area.

After 6 editions in the center of Chisinau, EcoVisio decided it was time to take FreeShop to the heart of the districts. More specifically, on Maria Dragan Street in Ciocana. So we invite you on Saturday, July 27th, for 3 hours, to bring everything you have at home and you no longer need clothes, shoes, accessories, toys, cosmetics, etc. We will give them to anyone who wants them, without any ban and no condition, other than to use things further. As always, everything left behind by FreeShop will go to charity organizations to be distributed to the needy.

As a bonus for this edition, two Ciocana locals will bring their sewing machine and skills to save your damaged clothes: ripped t-shirts, weak buttons, pants in need of a hem etc. This will also be done free of charge, as long as the clothes get to enjoy a longer life with you.

We finalize the public program of the summer school with a „Community Pot” prepared by the locals in the backyard. Ecovisio’s friends will help us with vegetables that will be saved from markets.
