*Тема конкурса: “Мы там, куда мы шли. Реверсивный взгляд на завтра “*

Мы забываем. Мы стремимся к лучшему, пренебрегая тем, что будущее именно
такое, каким мы создавали его вчера. А вчера нам было не очень-то до
размышлений. Место, откуда взгляд стремится вперед, всегда находится в
настоящем времени. Вот почему так трудно смотреть в завтра со вчерашнего
дня. Мы стараемся отъединиться, отвязаться, излечиться от травмы прошлого,
как от страшной болезни. Но не замечаем, что вместо лечения снимаем
симптомы и внешние проявления. Что дальше? А дальше круг истории выведет
нас в то же самое место, с теми же симптомами, с тем же глубоким
отчуждением от неудобной памяти. Потому что память это не чемодан с
камнями, которые нужно выбросить. Память это наш внутренний код,
открывающий нам перспективу на изменения.

Тема конкурса призвана раскрыть общую тему демократических преобразований в
странах, подвергшихся агрессии со стороны России – Украине, Грузии,
Молдове. Цель конкурса – стать поводом для размышлений и рефлексий в
отношении культуры сохранения памяти, для критического взгляда и понимания,
что наше прошлое всегда будет с нами. И только осознав и приняв его, мы
сможем идти дальше во имя развития и мира, не повторяя ошибок, совершенных
предыдущими поколениями.

Победители конкурса будут определены экспертным жюри. Из Молдовы, Украины и
Грузии будет выбрано по одному фотографу.

Работы победителей будут представлены на совместной выставке в галерее
Культурного Центра Пасингер Фабрик в Мюнхене (3.07-15.09.2019), а
победители будут приглашены с визитом в Мюнхен на открытие выставки,
проведение Artist Talk (публичной встречи) и знакомство с местной
культурной средой. Организаторы покрывают расходы на проезд и проживание
победителей, печать и офрмление фотографий для выставки, а также печатают
каталог тиражом 250 штук.

Работы авторов, которые попадут в шорт-лист, будут представлены в формате
слайд-шоу в галерее Пасингер Фабрик в период работы выставки.

*Как подать заявку на участие в конкурсе?*

Для участия в конкурсе необходимо заполнить анкету на английском языке по этой
ссылке

Количество поданных фотографий не более 20. К участию в конкурсе
принимаются фотопроекты, объединенные одной визуальной и / или
концептуальной идеей. Фотографии, которые подаются на конкурс, должны
соответствовать теме и целям конкурса. Кроме изображений, заявители подают
текст-концепцию фотопроекта (до 300 слов) на английском языке. Изображения
должны быть  в размере 1500 пикселей по широкой стороне в формате jpeg, не
более, чем 500kb одна фотография. Пример названия файлов: для изображений
surname_photoproject name_1, для текстового файла surname_photoproject
name. Изображения необходимо загрузить на файлообменник и указать ссылку на
него в анкете.

Прием работ на конкурс продлится до 23:59 (по киевскому времени) 25 апреля
2019 включительно.

Участие в конкурсе бесплатное.

Результаты конкурса будут опубликованы на официальных ресурсах Центра
PhotoCULT 1 мая 2019. Организаторы конкурса сообщат заявителям о
результатах рассмотрения заявок на указанные в анкете электронные адреса.

Успешные заявители, которые победили в конкурсе, в течение 3 дней с момента
объявления результатов на официальной странице сайта и Facebook Центра
PhotoCULT должны будут прислать hi-res файлы своих работ (в высоком
качестве для печати). Победители будут проинформированы о деталях визита в
Мюнхен. Оформление документов для выезда за границу, а именно паспорта и
визы, победители покрывают засчет собственных средств.

Подавая заявки на конкурс, заявители соглашаются, что представленные ими
работы могут быть использованы организаторами в некоммерческих целях для
распространения информации о конкурсе “Мы там, куда мы шли. Реверсивный
взгляд на завтра “и связанных с ним событий.

Конкурс реализуется в Украине, Молдове и Грузии Культурным фотографическим
Центром PhotoCULT по инициативе и при финансовой поддержке Генерального
Консульства Украины в Мюнхене

*The theme of the contest**: “**We are there, where we were going* *. A
reverse look into tomorrow**”.*

We forget. We strive for better, neglecting the fact that future is exactly
the one we were creating yesterday. But yesterday we were not in the mood
for thinkings. The point of view forwards is always in the present time.
That is why it is so hard to watch into tomorrow from yesterday. We are
trying to disconnect, unhook, cure ourselves from the trauma of the past,
as from a terrible disease. But we do not notice that we remove symptoms
and external manifestations instead of treatment. What is next? And then
the circle of history will lead us to the same place, with the same
symptoms, with the same profound alienation from the inconvenient memory.
Because it’s not a suitcase with stones that should be thrown away. Memory
is our internal code, which opens the prospect for changes.

The theme of the contest, “We are there, where we were going. A reverse
look into tomorrow,” aims to uncover the general theme of democratic
transformations in the three countries Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova that
faced with aggression from Russia. The purpose of the contest is to become
an occasion for thinking and reflection on the culture of preserving
memory, critical view and understanding that our past will always be with
us and only having understood, having accepted it, we can go further for
development and peace, without repeating the mistakes that have occurred.

The jury will select one winner out of the participating photographers from
the shor-tlist. Per one winner from each country Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine
will be selected.

The works of the winners will be shown during group exhibition at Pasinger
Fabric Cultural Center in Munich (July 3 — September 15, 2019). Winners
will be invited to visit the exhibition opening in Munich, to have an
Artist Talk and to meet local cultural environment. The contest organizers
will cover  winners’ costs for transfers and accommodation as well as
printing and framing of images, printing of catalogue (250 copies).

The works from short-list will be presented as a slideshow at Pasinger
Fabric Gallery during exhibition “We are there, where we were going . A
reverse look into tomorrow”.

Participation in the contest is free of charge.

The contest results will be published on PhotoCULT Center web-site and
facebook on May 1, 2019.

Organizers will contact all applicants through their e-mails to inform
about open call results.

Successful applicants who won in the contest, have to send hi-res files
(quality for printing) of their images not later than in 3 days after the
contest results will be published. The winners will be informed about visit
to Munich details. The winners will cover preparation of documents for
traveling abroad (passports and visas) at their own expense.

Applying to the contest applicants agreed that their submitted works may be
used by organisers for non-commercial purposes to spread information about
the contest “We are there, where we were going . A reverse look into
tomorrow”.
