> I hope you had a wonderful summer! In front of you is the second edition of the Visegrad Fund newsletter in 2019. In June we celebrated the 19th anniversary of the establishment of the Visegrad Fund. At this occasion, I had the privilege to announce the Visegrad Project of the Year, our annual recognition award for regional initiatives supported by Visegrad Grants. At the beginning of September, we launched the final call for project applications to advance regional cooperation. In the previous June round, we received 215 proposals and selected 88 projects for funding worth €2.4 million. Just as every year in the fall, we will also begin accepting applications for artist residencies. Last year, we were able to support 60 emerging Visegrad artists out of 313 that applied to one of our art residency programs.
