VEZE/ MOTEL TROGIR PROJECT & OBERLIHT ASSOCIATION LAUNCH AN OPEN CALL FOR
ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM*

   - *FOR ARTISTS AND RESEARCHERS FROM MOLDOVA*
   - *FOR A THREE WEEK-STAY IN ZAGREB*
   - *FOR THE PERIOD OF STAY: JUNE/ JULY, 2026*
   - *DEADLINE: APRIL 25th, 2026*.

*Why this residency?*

As a follow-up to the long-term collaboration between *Slobodne veze,
Zagreb* and *OBERLIHT association, Chisinau* dating back in 2009, we are
establishing a new cultural exchange with the aim of encouraging the
mobility of cultural workers and establishing connections between these two
geographically distant areas, but with many points of contact.

*What are we looking for*?
Artists and/or researchers with a special interest in
post-industrial/modernist environments from the second half of the 20th
century, urban transformations, politics of space (but also individual,
intimate reflections on these processes) in loose connections with their
own (artistic) practice.

*What do we offer?*

   - A three-week residence in Zagreb
   - Covered travel costs: Chisinau- Zagreb- Chisinau
   - A fully furnished studio flat located in the wider center of Zagreb
   - Covered living expenses for the whole period of stay (based on per
   diems).

*What do we expect?*
Engaged interest in local context, social/art scene and urban environments
with the possibility of further cooperation. Public presentation or artist
talk during your stay, is possible.

*Who are we?*

*SLOBODNE VEZE/ LOOSE ASSOCIATIONS*

Slobodne veze/Loose Associations, a platform for contemporary art, is a
citizens’ association based in Zagreb. The association operates in Croatia
and abroad as a curatorial collective, producer, organizer of various
cultural events. So far, we have (co)curated numerous exhibitions, symposia
and (art) projects in public space, including two contemporary art
biennials, MEDITERRANEA 16 Young Artist Biennale in Ancona, Italy (2013)
and OSTRALE biennale O21 in Dresden, Germany (2021). We are also active as
publishers and cultural activists, especially focused on the protection and
critical reevaluation of modernist architecture of the second half of the
20th century on the Adriatic coast and beyond.

*HOW TO APPLY?*

Send us a short CV of no longer than 1 page, a portfolio and a short
motivational letter or project proposal by April 25 to the email address:

ZAGREB.* Applications should be written in English.

Results will be announced until beginning of May.
