International
Journalist Award „1989 – 2009: Europe
in Dialogue“

 

To mark the 20th
anniversary of the peaceful revolution in Europe, MitOst is pleased to announce
the International Journalist Award, „1989 – 2009: Europe
in Dialog“. The thematic focus of the articles under consideration is the
increasing overlap between European countries beyond the former east–west
borders.

 

The award is open to
print and online journalists aged 18 – 35, who have reported, fairly and
openly on the above topic. Journalists from the European Union, eastern
neighbour states, as well as the Russian federation with very good
English or German skills are invited to submit their articles. Texts can be
published in the author's native language and must have been published in print
or online media since August 2008. The deadline for applications is 20
 August 2009.

 

An international jury
will then nominate ten authors, who will be invited to the awards ceremony in Berlin in the autumn of
2009. The authors of the three best articles will be awarded prizes of EUR
2500, EUR 1500 and EUR 1000. In addition to this, the nominees will have the
opportunity to visit experienced journalists in their editorial departments and
to meet agents working in the areas of politics and culture. The best articles
will be published in an anthology in February 2010, which will be presented as
part of a campaign in cooperation with media partners.

Internationaler
Journalistenpreis „1989 – 2009: Europa im Dialog“

 

Zum 20. Jahrestag der friedlichen
Revolution in Europa schreibt MitOst den Internationalen Journalistenpreis
„1989 – 2009: Europa im Dialog“ aus. Gesucht werden Beiträge
über das zusammenwachsende Europa jenseits der alten Trennlinie von Ost und
West.

 

Bewerben können sich Print- und
Online-Journalisten im Alter von 18 bis 35 Jahren aus der Europäischen Union,
den östlichen Nachbarstaaten sowie der Russischen Föderation mit sehr guten Deutsch- oder Englischkenntnissen.
Die Texte können in der
Landessprache verfasst werden. Sie müssen seit August 2008 in Print- oder
Onlinemedien veröffentlicht worden sein. Bewerbungsschluss ist
der 20. August 2009.

 

Die
international besetzte Jury nominiert 10 Autoren, die im Herbst
2009 zur Preisverleihung nach Berlin eingeladen werden. Die besten drei
Beiträge werden dort mit einem Preisgeld in Höhe von 2.500, 1.500 und 1.000
Euro gewürdigt. Außerdem besuchen
die Teilnehmer erfahrene Journalisten in ihren Redaktionen und lernen Vertreter
aus Politik und Kultur kennen. Die besten Beiträge erscheinen in einem
Sammelband im Februar 2010 und werden in einer auf Medienpartnerschaften
gestützten Kampagne präsentiert.

на тему «1989 — 2009:
Европа в диалоге».
Для участия в
конкурсе
приглашаются
авторы
статей на
тему
объединяющейся
Европы по обе
стороны от
бывшей
разделительной
линии между
Востоком и
Западом. 

Подавать
заявки на
конкурс
могут
журналисты
печатных и
онлайн
средств
массовой информации
в возрасте от
18 до 35 лет из
стран
Европейского
союза, а
также из
стран,
граничащих с
ЕС на востоке,
и из
Росийской
Федерации с
очень
хорошими знаниями
английского
или
немецкого
языков.
Тексты
статей могут
быть
представлены
на
государственных
и
региональных
языках
стран-участниц,
а также
должны быть
напечатанными
в печатных
или онлайн
СМИ в период
с августа 2008
года. Заявки
будут
приниматься
до 20 августа 2009
года.

Международное
жюри
номинирует 10
авторов, которые
будут
приглашены
на вручение
приза в
Берлин осенью
2009 года. Лучшие
статьи будут
награждены призами
в размере 2 500, 2 500 и
