În cadrul programului de rezidență CHIOȘC, cu participarea lui Dan  
Perjovschi, vă invităm la proiecția filmului “Out of the  
Present” (1996), de Andrei Ujică.

Mai 1991. Anatoli Artsebarski și Sergeï Krikalev, doi cosmonauți  
sovietici se alătură stației spațiale MIR. Cinci luni mai târziu,  
comandantul (și naratorul filmului), Anatoli Arțebarski se întoarce  
pe pământ. De acolo, el îl observă pe Serghei Krikalev, care va  
rămâne în spațiu cu cinci luni mai mult decât a fost planificat.  
Acest cosmonaut a plecat din URSS pe timpul lui Gorbaciov. El va  
reveni în martie 1992 în Rusia, guvernată de Elțin.

Andrei Ujică a facut un film de 92 de minute (timpul necesar pentru ca  
stația spațială să facă o rotație în jurul pământului)  
datorită celor 280 de ore de filmări realizate de cosmonauți și cu  
unele imagini de arhivă din Rusia. El a transmis zece luni de  
evenimente politice, văzute din spațiu.

public filmul Out of the Present la Chișinău.

In the frame of KIOSK residency program with participation of Dan  
Perjovschi, we invite you to the film screening of “Out of the  
Present” (1996) by Andrei Ujica.

May 1991. Anatoli Artsebarski and Sergey Krikalev, two Soviet  
cosmonauts join the space station MIR. Five months later, the  
commandant (and narrator of the movie) Anatoli Artsebarski goes back  
on earth. From there, he observes Sergeï Krikalev who is going to stay  
in space five months longer than planned. This cosmonaut left the USSR  
with Gorbachev. He’ll return in March 1992 in Russia governed by  
Eltsine.

Andrei Ujica made a 92 minutes movie (the time it takes for the space  
station to go around earth) thanks to the 280 hours of footage made by  
the cosmonauts themselves and thanks to some Russian archive images.  
He told ten months of political events, seen from space.

Special thanks to Andrei Ujica for the agreement to present publicly  
the film Out of the Present in Chisinau.
